Springtime
As much as I proclaim to enjoy winter, I am totally ready for spring. With it brings longer daytime hours, fresh air wafting through through open windows, and clean, vibrant color!
My herb garden survived relatively well with a good stand of rosemary, oregano (enough for a small Italian village), lemon verbena, sorrel, tarragon and chive all teasing me with there first fresh growths. I'm loving this springtime reunion between my little green garden friends and me. Already menus and dishes are popping into my head. Chicken or sea bass with spring artichokes in tarragon cream, pea and sorrel soup or grilled salmon with sorrel, lemon verbena shortbreads, omelettes with lots of chopped chive, rosemary new potatoes.........
Please join me for the culinary reunion.
